Since the occurrence of the earthquake, Human Appeal Ireland medical team has not stopped providing medical services and health care to the people affected by the earthquake who were transferred to Al Zoohor Town in Killi area in north-western Syria.
Supported by HA Ireland, the mobile clinic moves every day within the town to treat the injured and affected patients, treat burns and change bandages for the injured where there is a general doctor, a midwife, and a pharmacist, in addition to a special team to treat malnutrition cases for children and pregnant women.
Approximately 80 patients are seen daily in the mobile clinic in camps and areas of north-western Syria. There is a general physician responsible for examining patients and providing the necessary treatment to them, in addition to the presence of a pharmacy to provide free medicine.
There is a community health worker to treat cases of malnutrition for women and children, providing them with vitamins and nutritional supplements. As well as this, the gynaecology clinic is equipped with an ultrasound machine, enabling women to be properly examined and provided with the necessary treatment.
