Forty nine houses have been completed in Village Abdul Karim Chandio, Taluka Warah, District Qambar Shahdadkot, in the Province of Sindh. These homes have been built six feet high from the ground, making them flood-resilient. These homes are made of concrete, baked bricks, and steel girders. Proper electric wiring and essential appliances like fans and light bulbs have been installed in these homes. Families have properly settled in these houses, making them their lovely homes.
With the facility of attached toilets, a significant issue has been resolved for these people, especially women, regarding open defecation and the risk of diseases born from it. People can now protect themselves from scorching heat in the summer and freezing low temperatures in the winter under their new homes. Till now, 149 houses have been completed in Qambar Shahdadkot and Dadu district. Moreover, Human Appeal Pakistan aims to build 500+ one and two-room houses in Qambar Shahdadkot and Dadu districts.
